Citi Field. Top of the fourth inning. Tie ballgame at 1-1 between the New York Mets and Washington Nationals. Bryce Harper digs in against Bartolo Colon. Mets fans booing Harper constantly as always.

Moments later, Harper went deep and the Mets fans went silent.

You think Mets fans may have learned by now with Harper that if you boo, he’ll probably homer. After all, he is the reigning NL MVP and even as great as Bartolo Colon may be, he isn’t as good at his job as Harper is at hitting.

While Harper is only a career .261 hitter against the Mets, has does have 18 homers and 45 RBI in just 78 career games against them.

At the same time, you think Mets fans would’ve learned from their Giancarlo Stanton incident the other day…

OVER-RATED! [crack!] *Packs up his stuff and leaves*

Here’s another view of that homer and three more that Stanton hit against the Metropolitans.

Hopefully New York’s fans have learned their lesson and won’t make the same mistake this weekend during the rest of the four-game series between the Nationals and Mets.
