Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Bryce Miller has impressed through his first two starts. The rookie Mariner only allowed one run through his first 12 innings at the MLB level. On Saturday, he took the bump against the Detroit Tigers and once again did not disappoint.

Miller performed exceptionally well and pitched seven scoreless innings and allowed just four hits en route to a 5-0 victory for the M’s. Simultaneously, the performance puts Miller in his own early on in his career.

After Saturday, Miller became just the second pitcher in team history with a sub-1.00 ERA through his first three career starts. The other came from former AL Cy Young Award winner Felix Hernandez.

He also broke the MLB record for the lowest WHIP through only three career starts. His WHIP is at just 0.421!

Miller has undoubtedly taken the MLB world by storm. Many fans took to social media to sing his praises for the unreal beginning of his MLB career.

What makes Miller’s ridiculous start to his career wilder is that he actually didn’t play very well in the minors. Earlier this year, he posted a 6.41 ERA across four starts in Double-A Arkansas.

This could potentially mean that Miller is due for some regression. But even if that is the case, it seems like the Mariners have a pitcher to build upon in Bryce Miller for the foreseeable future.
