Charlie Sheen’s quest to get to the World Series is happening.
The actor, who played Cleveland Indians pitcher Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn in Major League, has relentlessly campaigned all postseason to throw out the first pitch during the World Series. The Indians have ignored his incessant Twitter pleas, much to Sheen’s chagrin, but now, the Two and a Half Men star is coming to Progressive Field.
Sheen tweeted out a photo saying “my bag is packed, help is on the way,” featuring Indians and Major League-related paraphernalia.

How is Sheen getting there? With an assist from Cleveland entrepreneurs.
Darren Rovell of ESPN.com reports Bobby George of Corporate Management Group and Tony Madalone owner of Fresh Brewed Tees paid to fly in Sheen.
“We’re die hard Clevelanders and wanted to do this for the fans.”
At this point, Sheen’s demand to throw out the first pitch has become somewhat pathetic. He also won’t be throwing out the first pitch before Game 7 – that honor goes to Jim Thome.

The 51-year-old’s career is on life-support and he’s leeching onto any remaining fame he can. Personally, if I was an Indians fan I wouldn’t want him there – even if he once represented the organization fictitiously.
