Clayton Kershaw is one of the best pitchers of this generation, but how much longer does the southpaw have left in him? The Los Angeles Dodgers superstar won the World Series finally in 2020 and has won several Cy Young Awards and even an MVP Award. But there is now uncertainty over Kershaw’s status both with the Dodgers and his MLB career.

The Arizona Diamondbacks swept Kershaw and the Dodgers in the National League Division Series on Tuesday night. With their win in the desert, the D’Backs are now closer to the World Series than they’ve been since 2007. The Dodgers, meanwhile, had an all too familiar feeling develop. Early exits in the postseason have been a frustratingly consistent talking point for the franchise throughout Kershaw’s career.

But as far as his career goes? Kershaw just isn’t sure.

“Dodgers Clayton Kershaw was asked multiple times about his future. He responded the same way every time, ‘I’m not sure,'” said Bill Plunkett of The Orange Country Register. “Asked him if he needs to address issues with his shoulder this offseason. Same answer. ‘I’m not sure,'” he added.

Kershaw has been one of the best pitchers in MLB history since he first stepped on the mound. He won the National League Cy Young Award in 2011, 2013, and 2014. Also in 2014, the 10-time All-Star was named the NL’s Most Valuable Player.

The MLB world had plenty to say about Clayton Kershaw on Thursday.
