MLB players have been sent home — like pretty much everybody else — due to the coronavirus outbreak, and Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras and his brother William — a top prospect for the Atlanta Braves — are finding creative ways to stay in baseball shape while being quarantined.

The brothers are using a Nerf guy to take batting practice in their driveway, and Willson shared video to prove it Friday on Twitter:

That’s certainly a unique way to take batting practice, but it seems to be surprisingly effective. Impressive velocity on the “pitches,” and Willson is getting some quality hacks in.

We should also trust the training methods of a two-time All-Star catcher — and world champion — coming off an .888 OPS season, and a catcher who’s one of the Braves’ best prospects and features big-time upside.
