We told you back in January that Texas Rangers’ double-A affiliate, the Frisco Roughriders, had plans to expand their pool into a lazy river. It’s just the latest addition to what the club has to offer.
The lazy river has been completed, and the first person to be able to take it for a ride was Dirk Nowitzki, because who else deserves a ride in a lazy river more than the man who brought the Dallas Mavericks their only NBA title?

There might not be a lazy river that is more appealing than this one. I mean really, you can watch a baseball game, while you enjoy a drink in the outfield. There’s not much more that you could ask for in a baseball viewing experience.

As mentioned before, this isn’t the only great promotion that this organization has had. In March, they announced a “Riders-Con” promotion where they have a series of promo nights honoring cultural institutions and celebrity appearances, including Ghostbusters night, Top Gun night, Star Trek night, and Star Wars night.
In May, after the Rougned Odor punch on Jose Bautista, the team introduced an alcoholic beverage called “Rougie’s Red Punch.” The marketing team for this team is really earning their paychecks.
With the lazy river completed, and their prior repertoire of promotions, it’ll be interesting to see what the team does moving forward. Surely they won’t let us down.
