The Los Angeles Dodgers came into the season regarded by many as being a true super team who were expected to largely dominate the league. And while the Dodgers are indeed still one of the best teams in baseball, the team has fallen into a cold streak that we have rarely seen from the organization in the past few years.

Going into Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Dodgers were in the midst of a five-game losing streak. And unfortunately for Dodgers fans, this trend of poor play continued when the Brewers walked it off on a RBI single from Jackson Chourio to complete a series sweep.

Simply put, losing streaks happen to even the best teams in baseball. However, when you look at the recent future of the Dodgers organization, this losing streak in particular is as bad as any in recent memory.

With the loss, it marks the first time since the 2017 season that the Dodgers have lost six consecutive games.

Naturally, many baseball fans have plenty to say about this statistic for the Dodgers, with many expressing concerns that this year’s Dodgers team may not be as good as they have been in recent years.

The Dodgers still hold the best record in the National League at 56-38 on the season. So it’s not exactly like the sky is falling currently for the Dodgers. But still, the team’s struggles are undoubtedly at least a bit surprising given the immense talent on paper on the Dodgers roster.
