Last week, the Cincinnati Reds called up infielder Elly De La Cruz to make his Major League Baseball debut. He is widely considered the top prospect in all of baseball, and just six games into his MLB career, it’s easy to see why.

As JJ Cooper of Baseball America points out, Elly De La Cruz is already putting up some incredible numbers for the Cincinnati Reds, some of which are better than any of his other teammates have put up in the entire season so far.

“Elly De La Cruz has played 6 MLB games.
He has the 2 hardest-hit balls by any Reds player this year (a HR and a 2B).
He has 6 fastest sprint speeds recorded by any Reds player this year.
He has the hardest throw by any Reds infielder this year.
And he’s hitting .381/.500/.667,” Copper said in a tweet.

It’s still very early in De La Cruz’s baseball career, but it’s safe to say he’s already generating quite a buzz in the Major League Baseball world as plenty of people offered their reactions on Twitter.

Obviously, it’s still very early in his young career, but this is certainly a good start for the 21-year-old rookie, and people are taking notice.
