At Major League Baseball games, it’s typically the players on the field who are attempting to make dramatic diving catches. But that switch flipped a little bit as a spectator made an absolutely incredible attempt to catch a foul ball in the stands during Wednesday night’s game between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
During the game – which is the final game of the season for both squads – a popup foul ball went into the stands along the first-base line. One fan was tracking the foul ball the whole way and as the ball approached the stands, he made quite the desperate attempt to catch the ball, diving across the seats.

Despite the valiant attempt, the man wasn’t even able to catch the ball as it rolled into the row directly in front of him. Still, the MLB world was quite impressed by the man’s effort and offered several reactions on Twitter.
