The MLB has long been called America’s Pastime, but a ranking of America’s fastest-growing brands that emerged on Tuesday seems to indicate that they still have a ways to go in building their brand.

The list was based on a report from global intelligence company Morning Consult on the 20 fastest-growing brands of 2022.

It was shared by sports business writer for the company Mark Burns on Twitter. The list included the MLB, but they only ended up 15th on the list behind a number of hilarious entries such as Great Value cream cheese.

Many took the chance to clown the MLB for their shockingly low ranking on this list, including being below a cream cheese brand.

In all seriousness, it is undoubtedly a positive that the MLB is among some notable brands that are seen to be growing this year based on this report.

That being said, it is wild to see that Walmart’s cream cheese brand is actually growing faster than the top baseball league in the world.

It is also interesting to see that none other American sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA, or NHL are among the top-growing brands.

That can be seen as a positive by the MLB, but this hilariously shows that overall there is still work to be done in terms of the MLB’s marketing plan.
