A 24-diamond baseball complex known as All-Star Ballpark Heaven is coming to the ‘Field of Dreams’ movie site, after getting the go-ahead on the development from the Iowa Supreme Court on Friday.

That’s despite (lame) efforts of many Dyersville residents to block the development, due to the way it was zoned. However, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled that the move from agricultural to commercial was done properly.

In addition to the zoning issue, residents were worried about the congestion the complex may bring, and the effect that it could have on farming in the area. The original decision that was made by the City Council has been fought tooth and nail.

The site, which already gets thousands of visitors yearly, will see a large uptick in visitors due to the massive complex. It appears that if you build it, lots and lots of people will come.
