As Jose Fernandez’s untimely death continues to rock the worlds of Miami Marlins players and staff, they are all finding their own ways to honor their teammate and friend.

For a trio of Miami Marlins players it meant setting up a unique mural while vacationing in Brazil.

Giancarlo Stanton, A.J. Ramos and Ricky Nolasco, all former teammates of Fernandez in Miami, got together on their trip to Brazil and decided to honor Fernandez in a an artistic way:

Where ever we are , you are! 🙏🏽 Saudades brother #puravida #jdf16 #niño 💪🏽

The mural includes a lot of cool things, including the depth of the baseball, but also Fernandez’s number, the Cuban flag and signatures of all three players.

You can even see the making of the mural here:

The mural also includes the Spanish word “saudades,” which means “miss you” in English.

It was a touching way to get together and creatively honor a young life taken too soon.
