At the time of this post, Madison Bumgarner has thrown five perfect innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and has taken Zack Greinke deep.

He’s also walked. So he’s 1-for-1 with a homer, walk, and has thrown five perfect innings on Opening Day.

It certainly didn’t take long into the 2017 season for Madison Bumgarner to play baseball like Madison Bumgarner.

UPDATE: Well, Bumgarner allowed three runs the next inning. BUT… he launched another BOMB to give the Giants the lead back. This is absolutely ridiculous:
