Hurricane Maria ravaged the island of Puerto Rico on Wednesday, and the island’s vaunted Hiram Bithorn Stadium wasn’t spared.
Pictures and videos surfaced of the damage suffered at the stadium, which included the toppling and destruction of the statue of its namesake.

The stadium has hosted a handful of MLB games over the years, including the Montreal Expos for 22 games in each of the 2003 and 2004 seasons. It also hosted World Baseball Classic pools in 2006, 2009, and 2013.
Hiram Bithorn was also scheduled to host a series between the Twins and Indians next April, though those plans are obviously now in question because of the damage suffered by the stadium (which could get worse in the coming hours).
