We’ve seen plenty of impressive catches this season, including some from Boston Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr., and he added to that list again Saturday with a remarkable grab in a game against the New York Yankees:

That’s yet another amazing catch from Bradley, and it illustrates his value to the Red Sox. On the year, he has a defensive wins above replacement of 3.7 as per Fangraphs, which helps him have a overall WAR of 1.8 despite not being all that strong offensively (he’s hitting .255/.336/.418, which isn’t great for a corner outfielder). So his defense is pretty essential, but he does an excellent job there. This was just the latest illustration of it. It wasn’t enough for the Red Sox on this day, as they lost 4-3 to the Yankees, but it was still an excellent moment for him.
