Every guy looks different after shaving off a full beard, but I can’t remember somebody looking as unrecognizable as a clean-shaven Jake Arrieta does.

The 2015 NL Cy Young winner is in offseason mode — with the Cubs losing to Dodgers in the NLCS last week — and got rid of his famous beard to the delight of his wife, Brittany.

Arrieta actually did the same last year after the Cubs won the World Series (top right next to John Lackey):

The right-hander is a free agent, and maybe with the clean-shaven look he’ll now interest the Yankees!
