When the Cubs signed Jason Heyward before the 2016 season, they were excited about his bat, but they were really, really excited about his defense.

Heyward is one of the best defensive outfielders in the game—quite possibly in history—and he showed why against the Brewers, robbing Ryan Braun of a home run.

Check out the replay:

Almost as impressive was Heyward’s throw to second base after robbing the home run. He jumped right off the wall and rocketed the ball nearly all the way to second on the fly.

The Cubs lead the Brewers by 1.5 games in the NL Central, so every run between these teams counts. And once again, the Heyward signing is looking smart for the Cubs.
