On Wednesday afternoon, Minnesota Twins reliever Jhoan Durán electrified MLB fans with a few filthy pitches that would break any normal radar gun, with several going over 104 MPH.

Durán and the Twins hosted the San Francisco Giants in a midweek series finale at Target Field. The talented 6-foot-5 right-handed reliever decided he wanted to put on a show after he took the mound. More than that, he wanted to overpower Giant batters that stepped into the box. Suffice it to say, Durán succeeded and then some.

“Heat advisory: Jhoan Durán throws flames,” the MLB account tweeted. The video featured should have a high heat warning, if anything, as Durán’s arm turned into a flamethrower.

Durán rared back and dealt in not one, not two, but three straight pitches over 104 miles per hour! As Sarah Langs pointed out, he made history, as well. He became the eighth pitcher to throw a pitch that hit 104.0+ on the radar gun, according to Sarah Langs, since 2008. What’s more is, well, he did it all in one game!

Pitching Ninja couldn’t believe what they were seeing from Durán.

Not to mention, he closed the game by making history, too. Talkin’ Baseball tweeted, “Jhoan Duran ends the game with a 104 MPH strikeout. He’s the fourth pitcher with a 104 MPH strikeout in the pitch tracking era (2008).”

His performance was so remarkable, some wondered what he had for breakfast this morning.

“I’m sorry, what? Jhoan Duran is ridiculous,” another account uttered.

Simply amazing to see Jhoan Durán throw for 104 MPH not just once, not twice, but thrice!
