The ripple effects of Jonathan Majors and his alleged domestic violence incident are still being felt. On Monday, DEADLINE reported that representation dropped Majors. Several more cases of production companies dropping Majors emerged on Tuesday. As it turns out, one entity that dropped Majors from an upcoming project was an MLB team.
DEADLINE stated on Tuesday that the Texas Rangers dropped the actor from an upcoming ad campaign the team intended to run.
“Dallas, Texas was one of the areas Majors grew up in. His ad campaign for the Texas Rangers was set to air on Friday, then pulled at the last minute we are told,” DEADLINE wrote.
The publication said that the Rangers “provided no comment” in an attempt to reach them.
Majors faces serious domestic violence allegations. According to Complex, “Majors had been arrested on the charge of physically attacking a woman in a domestic dispute. The authorities took Majors into custody while the woman who called them was brought to the hospital to be treated for visible injuries.” Furthermore, “Majors was arraigned on multiple charges, according to Variety,” they wrote. “He was charged with several counts of assault in the third degree, three counts of attempted assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree.”
Help is always available. If you or someone that you know is the victim of domestic violence, please speak to someone. Call 800-799-7233, and a 24-hour hotline is available.
