NEW YORK, NY – AUGUST 04: Model Kate Upton attends the game against the New York Yankees as Justin Verlander #35 of the Detroit Tigers looks on from the bench at Yankee Stadium on August 4, 2014 in the Bronx borough of New York City. (Photo by Mike Stobe/Getty Images)

Upton says no sex for Justin Verlander on gameday. Fiancee and supermodel Kate Upton that is, not Tigers teammate Justin Upton.

It’s no secret that baseball superstitions can run wild. Roger Clemens rubbed hot ointment on his balls, and Jason Giambi donned a gold thong to get out of hitting slumps.

So no pregame sex feels fairly tame. But nonetheless, Upton, who was just on the SI Swimsuit cover for the third time, said Verlander gives her a hard no, making him possibly the only person who could say “no” to Kate Upton.

Upton also revealed that if Verlander is dealing on the mound, he’s not likely to be dealing in the bedroom later that night.

“There’s no sex before a game. Absolutely none,” Upton said on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” on Wednesday. “And then also what I’ve just found out is if he plays too well, there’s no sex after either. He’s exhausted. It’s kind of a buzzkill for me.”

We know Upton isn’t shy. In November, she sounded off on Cy Young voters who picked Boston’s Rick Porcello over Verlander for the award, proclaiming in a Twitter rant, “I thought I was the only person allowed to fuck [Justin Verlander?!”

Upton also discussed that tweet with show host Andy Cohen.

“I had to write it so fast because he wasn’t even off TV yet,” she said. “I was like, oh, I have to write before he edits me. … I think his first reaction was a little bit surprised that I had already sent it, but overall he loved it. I mean, I just really think that the MLB should plan ahead, maybe prepare their writers.”
