JR Smith celebrating Indians

After decades of not having a championship, Cleveland is on the verge of two titles within a little more than four months on each other.

The Indians defeated the Blue Jays on Wednesday to advance to the World Series, and LeBron James and his Cavaliers teammates watched the action at a bar together and congratulated their baseball counterparts on social media.

Just as when the Cavs defeated the Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Indians also took down a Toronto team to reach the World Series. The difference is the Cavs needed six games while the Indians punched through in five. That fact didn’t get past Cavs forward Richard Jefferson.

J.R. Smith got in on the celebration as well.

James also congratulated the Indians on Twitter, and Kevin Love followed suit.

Game 1 of the World Series is next Tuesday, the same day as the Cavs’ season opener against the Knicks. The Cleveland metro area is going to be wild that night.
