Between innings at SunTrust Park, the Atlanta Braves have a promotion where a fan, given a substantial head start, attempts to win a race against what may or may not be a professional sprinter in a sky blue bodysuit.
On Friday night, the random fan came quite close winning. But he made a key mistake – he showboated and celebrated before crossing the finish line.
Hilarity ensued.
Now that’s just incredible.
The Braves would go on to win the game 3-2 in walk off fashion after some fantastic baserunning by shortstop Dansby Swanson – the player whose shirsey our now infamous dirt-eater was wearing.
He’s never going to live this down, is he?
