The New York Mets’ 2017 season so far has been filled with plenty of injuries and drama, as well as below average baseball. It looked like another rough night at the yard for the Mets on Friday at Citi Field, but they overcame a six-run deficit to take down the Miami Marlins 8-7.

First baseman T.J. Rivera hit his first homer of the season and hit a two-run double to tie the game in the seventh. After the game, the Mets’ Twitter account shared a photo of Rivera wearing a crown, but… they didn’t notice something sitting just to the left of Rivera in teammate Kevin Plawecki’s locker: a dildo.

The Mets of course eventually deleted the tweet, but not before the internet took notice.

There was a cropped photo tweeted out from the Mets’ account, but that was soon deleted too (probably because everyone was responding with photos of the dildo).

And yes, there are already tweets out there about how the Mets’ dildo is going on the disabled list.
