Tuesday, Tom Brady posted a video of himself taking in some batting practice along with Rob Gronkowski. Brady looked pretty good at the plate and had some solid cuts. He captioned the video by saying, “Wonder if that Expos offer is still on the table…”

While Brady played quarterback at Michigan before entering the NFL, he was selected in the 18th round of the MLB Draft in 1995 by the Montreal Expos. It certainly creates an interesting what-if had he chosen the path to play baseball, and how many dominoes might have fallen in both sports because of that decision.
While it’s pretty unlikely that Brady would be able to pull a Michael Jordan and make a run at the big leagues, one MLB star was pretty impressed with what he saw. Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout commented on the video with the big eyes emoji, driving home just how impressed he was.

It’s been an offseason of speculation and rumors surrounding what Brady will do next. While he’s got a gig in the NFL booth waiting for him when he officially retires, Brady also appears to have a contact out on the West Coast now who can hook him up with some more BP if he decides to take this two-sport thing a bit further.
