The Tommy Pham – Joc Pederson fantasy football slapping drama was always wild, and that was before superstar Mike Trout found himself in the middle of it.

To recap, Pham and Pederson got into a heated discussion before their game last Friday and Pham slapped Pederson across the face. Pham was suspended for three games by Major League Baseball for the altercation.

Joc would go on to explain that the issue stemmed from a transaction he made within a fantasy football league that the two are part of. Pham explained his side of the story, adding that Pederson “said some sh*t that [Pham doesn’t] condone,” and that in the league’s group chat, Pederson made “disrespectful” comments about Pham’s former team, the San Diego Padres. Pederson then clarified it had to do with a GIF that he shared.

Pham then decided to throw the commissioner of the fantasy football league under the bus for allowing Pederson and others to get away with things they shouldn’t have. That commissioner just so happens to be Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout.

“Trout did a terrible job, man,” Pham said, laughing, per Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer. “Trout is the worst commissioner in fantasy sports because he allowed a lot of (stuff) to go on, and he could’ve solved it all. I don’t want to be the (bleeping) commissioner; I’ve got other (stuff) to do. (Trout) didn’t want to do it. We put it on him, so it’s kind of our fault too because we made him commissioner.”

Naturally, Trout was asked about these “damning” allegations on Wednesday but refused to take the bait too much.

“I talked to Tommy. I talked to Joc. Everybody that’s a part of it,” said Trout. “We’re all passionate about fantasy football.”

When asked if he had plans to resign because of the drama, Trout declined.

“Every commissioner I know always gets booed,” said Trout. “It’s a legendary fantasy football league for sure.”

Who knows what drama related to this fantasy football league awaits us tomorrow.
