Nelson Cruz SEATTLE, WA – MAY 13: Nelson Cruz #23 of the Seattle Mariners warms up in the on-deck circle before and at-bat in a game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Safeco Field on May 13, 2016, in Seattle, Washington. Though not coming against a pitcher hurling 90 mph, there is still some awe in seeing a baseball player send a rocket to the bleachers in batting practice. It is still even more mesmerizing when a homer gets sent out of the ballpark, which is quite the rare achievement. Nelson Cruz showed off some of his muscle on Saturday during batting practice.

Yikes.

Long homers are nothing new for Cruz. Look what he did at the Oakland Coliseum earlier this year.

Despite the massive home run shot in batting practice, Cruz went 0-for-4 later against the Minnesota Twins, with one walk and a strikeout. The Mariners also took the loss, 6-5, but Cruz still managed to have the highlight of the day in Seattle.
