Noah Syndergaard has found a unique and wonderful way to enjoy Christmas: by celebrating the Mets’ re-signing of Bartolo Colon.

Syndergaard posted on Instagram a photo of his family wearing blue and orange shirts plastered with Colon’s face, with the following caption:

“Big Sexy” shirts were quite the hit. Glad to have the big man back this year. Merry Christmas to all! #bartolo

Colon re-signed in New York for one year at $7.25 million last week. Despite being a thoroughly mediocre pitcher for the Mets, the former Cy Young winner has become somewhat of a cult hero thanks to his soft-throwing wizardry, dough-ball appearance and hilarious ineptitude in the batter’s box.

In the past Colon has been a little bit chippy about people making fun of him, but as a teammate Syndergaard probably gets a pass. Plus, it’s Christmas!

If Syndergaard mass-produced those shirts he could probably earn some money to complement his $570,000 pre-arbitration salary.

Anyway, here’s a video of Colon getting a hit and carrying the bat with him to first base. Merry Christmas!
