Jon Lester is a Cy Young-contending pitcher for the Chicago Cubs. He’s also played for the Boston Red Sox and Oakland Athletics in his 11-year MLB career. He’s been to four All-Star Games, won two World Series championships with the Red Sox (and started the World Series-clinching game in 2007), and pitched a no-hitter in 2008.

Jon Lester is is not NBC’s Lester Holt, the news anchor and guy moderating presidential debates.

This is Jon Lester:

And this is Lester Holt:

One has a last name of Lester, and the other has a first name of Lester.

It’s really not very hard to avoid confusing the two gentlemen. But, of course, people have. And Jon Lester is now trying to educate these people on Twitter that are mistakenly @’ing him:

Now, we wait to see if Lester Holt has to inform people he’s not Jon Lester.
