There’s a long tradition of broadcasters enjoying food on air, and the Philadelphia Phillies’ announcers did that in a pretty funny way Saturday. Phillies’ TV announcers Tom McCarthy and John Kruk had some ribs Saturday during a Nationals-Phillies broadcast, and McCarthy invited radio play-by-play man Scott Franzke over to grab some. And Franzke took them up on that:
“Scott, come on over, bud.” “The man’s from Texas, he likes ribs.” “No kidding.” That’s pretty funny. And it’s nice of the TV guys to share.
