It’s been another very rough year for the Pittsburgh Pirates, but they just made one of the most incredible plays of the 2021 MLB season right before the regular season concludes.

Pittsburgh second baseman made an absurd diving catch well into right field on Friday night against the Cincinnati Reds. Tucker had his back to the ball and sprinted out to right field before making a diving grab to rob Cincinnati’s Tucker Barnhart of a single. He also got right up and — while yelling in celebration, for good reason — threw to first base to double off Eugenio Suárez.

That’s an amazing double play.

Update: He’s added a grand slam on the night! What a game for Tucker.

That was part of an eight-run eighth inning in a 9-2 Pirates win.
