It has been mostly a disappointing year thus far for the Boston Red Sox, who are sitting at a 48-48 record just one year after making the ALCS.
While there is still plenty of time for the team to figure things out, they are in the midst of a drastic cold streak, winning only one of their last ten games. The Red Sox have been outscored by a whopping 67-13 deficit in five games, highlighted by eight errors spread throughout.
Most of these errors are extremely comical and, given their poor defensive performance of late, a hilarious compilation of Red Sox errors in the month of July has been created by Jomboy.

The founder of Jomboy Media, James O’Brien, who is notably a huge New York Yankees fan, took to social media and released the compilation video which has garnered a ton of reactions around the MLB world.

This truly is one of the most remarkable things I've ever seen. Haven't seen anything quite like it since the 2005 Royals. https://t.co/zEx6jOv6CI

So weird. We were told they were as good as the Yankees on the field even though they weren't close in the standings. https://t.co/Bpx3tcB2B6

If the Yankees don't win the World Series this year, at least we'll always have this: https://t.co/ACCfySlA6Q

In the month of July, the Red Sox have been the worst team in baseball in both Runs Prevented and Outs Above Average, two of the best defensive stats to indicate how the team is playing on the field. Expectations were high when the team brought in star second baseman Trevor Story this offseason, but it hasn’t quite worked out to this point.
While things are spiraling in the organization at the moment, they are still very much in the playoff picture. That being said, these types of errors need to be far less frequent if they want to be a serious contender moving forward.
