Cincinnati Reds shortstop José Iglesias deserved a better result Wednesday night on a groundball off the bat of the Miami Marlins’ Starlin Castro.

Castro hit a groundball ticketed for left-center field, and Iglesias ranged far to his left to make a great diving stop. That alone was a terrific effort by the veteran shortstop, but it turned into an otherworldly play with the throw. Iglesias rolled over, and made a ridiculous throw to first base from the ground. Castro was safe, but that doesn’t take away from how unbelievable the play was:

A Rey Ordóñez-esque play from Iglesias.
