Throughout Aaron Judge‘s quest to break Roger Maris’ American League single-season home run record, the Major League Baseball legend’s son became quite an annoyance, inserting himself into the conversation and constantly claiming that his father’s 61 home runs were actually the real MLB record. Anybody hoping that the younger Maris would simply step out of the limelight after Judge’s chase was complete was sorely disappointed by his latest Tweet.
Maris Jr. continued his annoying antics on Thursday, claiming that Wednesday night’s postseason game between the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees included the two “real” single-season home run champs – Judge and Giancarlo Stanton after Stanton hit 59 home runs with the Miami Marlins in 2017.
Lots of fun seeing the home run champs hitting some bombs last night in New York to clinch the series. Giancarlo Stanton National League Single-Season Home Run Champ (59) and Aaron Judge Single Season All-Time Home Run Champ (62). Should be some fun baseball tonight in Houston.

The MLB world was quick to blast Maris for the Tweet, all expressing annoyance that he continues to seek attention for his opinions.

It seems that everyone would be pleased if Roger Maris Jr. would simply go away.
