Ronald Acuña Jr. just launched an absolute moonshot at Citi Field.

Acuña smoked his 14th career home run against the New York Mets as the Atlanta Braves face their longtime nemesis in Flushing. The superstar outfielder put the Braves on the board with a blast that reached the third deck at Citi Field!

“You are clear for takeoff,” the Braves joked on Twitter. And boy was Ronnie ever. According to the Atlanta broadcast, the crowd audibly gasped after he connected with the home run, which went out 448 feet.

Acuña celebrated around the bases and shimmied around the third base before hearing the boos from the New York crowd. But the Braves superstar was unbothered as he galloped to the dugout after his epic blast.

Ronald Acuña Jr. is putting together an incredible season thus far. Entering Monday, Acuña slashed .352/.440/.546, good enough for an OPS of a whopping .986. He’s now hit five home runs on the season and is doing it all with 13 stolen bases. He currently leads NL position players in bWAR at 1.7, tied with Luis Arraez of the Miami Marlins.

The moonshot home run gained significant traction online. Thus, the MLB world was ready to react to the epic blast, and they did so in droves. Many were left in awe by the Braves’ superstar’s home run. https://twitter.com/espn/status/1653096427076083731
