MLB spring training often sees some weird highlights, and Toronto Blue Jays’ catcher Russell Martin provided one of those Tuesday. In a game against the Philadelphia Phillies, a batter hit a pop-up that went into foul territory deep behind the plate on the third-base side, and Martin went after it. And he made the catch, but then crashed into a net that was protecting the Phillies’ coaches. And then got up, and got hit on the head by a pole from the falling net:

That looked painful. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear the net did major damage, and Martin was able to keep playing. But still, the net got a little bit of revenge on him here…
