Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani showed off his hitting talents in the Angels’ 10-3 win over the Kansas City Royals on Monday night at Kauffman Stadium.
In the top of the seventh inning, Ohtani smoked a two-run double to the right field wall that had an exit velocity of 119 mph according to Statcast. Ohtani becomes just the fifth player in the Statcast era to have an exit velocity of at least 119 mph on a batted ball, joining Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, Nelson Cruz, and Gary Sanchez.

And he touches 102 mph on the mound. As San Diego Padres star pitcher Blake Snell said about Ohtani in spring training, “The dude’s a freak.”
Ohtani has a 1.109 OPS as hitter in 41 plate appearances so far this season for the first-place Angels.
