When a baseball team loses by 10 runs and fails to even get a runner on base the entire game, most people would agree that the umpires were not the reason why the team struggled. But that isn’t stopping the Israeli baseball team from complaining about the umpires in the World Baseball Classic.

On Monday night, the Israeli baseball team lost their World Baseball Classic matchup with Peurto Rico by a mercy rule with a lopsided score of 10-0 as Peurto Rico threw the first-ever perfect game at the World Baseball Classic.

Still, that didn’t stop the Israel Baseball official Twitter account from taking to social media to complain about some of the home plate umpire’s calls.

Israeli Baseball shared two photos showing images of pitch-tracking technology from Monday night’s games. Both of them showed controversial calls that went against Israel.

“Left: ball 3 with our guy on the mound. Right: strike 3 with their guy on the mound,” Israel Baseball said in a tweet.

Naturally, the Internet didn’t take too kindly to this kind of complaining after giving up a perfect game as people absolutely blasted them for it on Twitter.

Complaining about officials is never a great look. But complaining after losing by way of a mercy rule is even worse.
