Ted Cruz

The Houston Astros are in celebration mode. The team won the World Series for the second time in franchise history on Saturday, defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in six games. It was a big win for many, including World Series MVP Jeremy Peña as well as notable bettor Mattress Mack. Let’s not forget the great Dusty Baker, who became the third black manager to win a World Series.

Monday marked the day the victory parade would commence in Houston. The scene has been pretty tremendous. Naturally, something had to grab everyone’s attention from the event. That something, or someone, in this case, was Ted Cruz.

Cruz, a noteworthy Senator (for many wrong reasons) attended the parade. He already made a public appearance once this MLB postseason. It didn’t go well for him. And we know he’s made a fool of himself in public before too. On Monday, Cruz was not given a very warm welcome by the Astro fans in attendance at the parade.

“Someone threw a beer can at Ted Cruz during the Astros parade,” tweeted reporter Philip Lewis. That’s a very wild statement of fact and sentence. A beer can was thrown in Cruz’s direction during the parade and, from the video, it sure looks like it came close to pelting Cruz in the head. The suspect was apprehended later.

Well, everyone was ready to pounce on this one:
