In the world of baseball, there is a lot of down time. This is even more so for pitchers who are either waiting five days to get back on the mound or are sitting in the bullpen waiting for a call to take the field. So how do you kill time?

Trevor Bauer and Carlos Carrasco apparently used their artistic skills to create miniature caricatures of their teammates using baseballs. The full “Mini Team” is quite the work of art. The attention to detail for each teammate is a testament to the craftsmanship used by Bauer and Carrasco. The Mini Team has been such a huge hit in the clubhouse and beyond, that the Indians even created their own Mini Team website. Take a look at the Mini Team version of Francisco Lindor:

And check out this version of Brandon Guyer, who set the single-game record by being hit by a pitch three times in a game:

Each member of the Mini Team takes inspiration from their real-life counterparts, and Bauer and Carrasco did not stop short of picking on themselves a bit. Bauer’s MiniTeam clone highlights the pitcher’s favorite hobby; drones.

As if you needed another reason to cheer for Cleveland beyond the fact they have the longest World Series drought, they lost a heartbreaking game 7 last year, and they just won 22 games in a row to capture the attention of the sports world.

The mini-team might be the best reason yet.
