Tim Tebow is playing baseball in the Arizona Fall League, and we know you can’t get enough of this story about a 29-year-old former quarterback trying to get over the Mendoza Line against a bunch of 19-year-olds.

Well, good news, as not only did Tebow get a single to get that batting average up to .146 on Monday night, but it won the game too!

Here’s video of Tebow’s walk-off single to give the Scottsdale Scorpions a 4-3 victory over the Mesa Solar Sox:

USA Today’s Josh Peter has more on the game-winning hit, including quotes from the Scorpions’ hero himself:

It certainly hasn’t been all fun for Tebow in the Arizona Fall League. He needed 14 at-bats before he got his first hit and entered Monday night’s game with just one RBI before finding himself in a situation that stirred the crowd of 1,012.

There was Tebow, the burly 2004 Heisman Trophy winner batting seventh, walking to the plate with the bases loaded, two outs and the game on the line. One pitch, one left-handed swing and the celebration was underway.

“That is the situations you love,’’ Tebow said, standing in front of the home dugout as fans cheered him. “It’s fun. It’s a pressure, but they’re fun moments.’’
