The Texas Rangers got off to a bad start in their visit to Oakland against the Athletics on Tuesday night. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Danny Valencia and Khris Davis hit back to back solo home runs to get the A’s up 2-0 early.

That turned out to be just fine for the Rangers. In the top of the 4th, Nomar Mazara hit a solo shot to center field, and was followed up by Adrian Beltre, who knocked a deep ball off of one knee. He’s been known to do such, but each time he does it, it’s just as impressive as the last one.

The Beltre home run tied the game up, but the Rangers weren’t done with the inning. Ryan Rua grounded into a double play that allowed Prince Fielder to score.

The Rangers have had a good season thus far (22-17 entering play Tuesday), and the Beltre home run that contributed to their fourth inning success is just one way they’ve been able to get it done.

Beltre now has six homers on the season. Hopefully this isn’t the last one we see him hit from one knee.
