Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez provided a “Catch of the Year” nominee against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium.

Nats pitcher Joe Ross was batting in the fifth inning, and hit a pop-up down the right field line. Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley got his glove on the ball and deflected it to Gonzalez, who then caught the ball in unbelievable juggling fashion.

This is bonkers:

Amazing concentration by the 34-year-old first baseman, and credit Utley with the (unexpected) assist. There may be better catches this baseball season, but it will hard to top that one for craziest catch of the year, at least.

Oh, and even perhaps more amazing? How the Dodgers won this game.
