Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier entered Monday night’s Twins-Yankees game with a 16-game hitting streak on the season, and 23 games dating back to last season.

One fan at Yankee Stadium was very aware of the streak. So much so that the Yankees fan actually had a t-shirt made which read, “Dozier’s  streak ends today.”

The game was nationally televised on ESPN, and the camera found the fan heckling Dozier while the 2015 All-Star was at the plate. And immediately, Dozier smoked an RBI single to extend the hit streak to 17 games (and 24 games dating back to last year).

In better news for the fan, the Yankees would go on to destroy the Twins, 14-1.
