The New York Yankees were off on Thursday and at least three players on the team seemed to be enjoying their free time.

While the Yankees had a day off, the New York Rangers were in action, hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2 of the first-round series in the NHL’s Stanley Cup Playoffs. Three Yankees — Anthony Rizzo, Aaron Judge, and DJ LeMahieu — were in action and knew how to get the crowd fired up.

When the camera found them, the three baseball players all chugged what was left of their beers. Unsurprisingly, the crowd liked what they saw.

This is definitely not Rizzo’s first time chugging a beer. In fact, looking at how natural he was, he’s probably well into double-digits — if not higher. Judge and LeMahieu, though, seemed a little out of their element, something several fans were quick to point out.

Those issues aside, it was a welcome sight, particularly to the fans who cheer for both the Rangers and Yankees.

At least in the short term, it seemed to be a good luck charm for the Rangers. Within just a few minutes of this chugging exhibition, Chris Kreider found the back of the net, putting New York up 3-1.

Perhaps once their season comes to an end, some Rangers players can return the favor and smash some beers at Yankee Stadium between innings.
