Not a great weekend for the New York Yankees.

First, they were swept by the Boston Red Sox with a 9-2 loss on Sunday at Fenway Park.. And after the game, the Yankees’ equipment truck got stuck while trying to exit Fenway.

According to Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe, the equipment truck accidentally hit the garage door and got stuck.

Trey Daerr of WHDH even provided photo evidence of the gaffe:

Yikes.

The Yankees entered the season as the “team to beat” in the AL, but now find themselves at 40-37 and 6.5 games behind the Red Sox in the AL East. That truck incident summarizes how things are going for a team that was expected to be a juggernaut.

But, we’re not even at the All-Star break. Maybe the Yankees can start playing better baseball, and maybe their equipment trucks can find a way to exit stadiums.
