It’s past 3 AM on the east coast, but the Dodgers and Diamondbacks are still playing baseball in Arizona. The game went to extra innings after the Diamondbacks got to a seemingly broken Kenley Jansen for three runs in the bottom of the ninth.

And in the bottom of the 14th inning, the Diamondbacks’ A.J. Pollock hit a deep flyball to right field. The Diamondbacks’ Ketel Marte chose to tag up with hopes of getting into scoring position with two outs. This would’ve worked for him vs just about any other major league outfielder, but not against the cannon-armed Yasiel Puig.

With his momentum going toward the right field foul pole, Puig spun around and fired a rocket to second base. Inning over:

An absolutely absurd throw, but one that is pretty routine for Puig as he’s shown over the years:
