The UFC is returning to New York City with a bang with quite the headlining bout between champions in UFC 205, as Conor McGregor is set to take on Eddie Alvarez.

If it feels like McGregor just fought, well, that’s because he just did. His brawl with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 was only a month or so ago, on August 20th. But he’ll be gettting back into the octagon less than three months later in an effort to win Alvarez’s lightweight title, and become the first fighter to hold two belts simultaneously in the UFC.

This will be the headline event for UFC 205, which will be held in Madison Square Garden. It is the first time the UFC has held an event in New York City in 20 years, so you know Dana White wanted to make this an event worthy of being in the Big Apple. UFC fans will surely be interested in this fight on the card on September 30, which also includes Tyron Woodley vs. Steven Thompson for the welterweight title and a women’s strawweight bout between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
