Conan O’Brien sat next to Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer for the team’s home game against the Houston Rockets on Monday night, and he may never accept Ballmer’s invitation to do that again.

Based on Conan’s face, this will be the first and last time he ever sits next to Steve Ballmer pic.twitter.com/hyhsoqiGH9 — Rob Perezingis (@World_Wide_Wob) January 19, 2016
With 7.4 seconds left in regulation and the Rockets down 122-119, Houston’s Marcus Thornton hit a three that tied the game and ended up sending the game to overtime after the Clippers missed a shot on the ensuing possession.
Ballmer was of course very upset about this, but Conan was there to console the extremely passionate Clippers owner!

In overtime, the Clippers finally pulled away (140-132 final score), and Ballmer was a much happier man.

While Ballmer always is intense, this really was a crazy game with some eye-opening statistics.
JJ Redick scored a career-high 40 points and went 9-of-12 on three-pointers.
Thanks largely to Redick, the Clippers went an incredible 22-of-37 on threes.
Clippers made 22 3-pointers, 1 shy of NBA record shared by Magic (in 2009) and Rockets (in 2013)

Dwight Howard had 36 points and 26 rebounds (and went 14-18 at the line!).
And the Rockets came back to tie the game in regulation after the Clippers had a 14-point lead with 3:58 left. Really, Conan couldn’t have picked a worse game to attend with Ballmer, at least in the regular season.
