Allen Iverson is one of the few people in the world who can say they have crossed up Michael Jordan, and 20 years later, Jordan hasn’t forgotten.

Iverson crossed up Jordan during his rookie year in 1997, and years later, Iverson said he was scolded by Jordan about the move at a Charlotte game.

“I live in Charlotte, so I went to a Charlotte game,” Iverson told ESPN. “(Jordan) was in the back, so we was talking and I was telling him how much I loved him and admired him, and telling him how much he was my hero, and he was like, ‘Well I couldn’t have been a hero to you if you crossed me like that.'”

Iverson also famously stepped over current Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue, but he said the Jordan crossover was better because “it’s Mike.”

So just know, if you ever cross up Michael Jordan, he’ll remember it, and he’ll still be salty years later. And he’ll probably be a good sport about it, too.
