Andre Iguodala has a lot of respect for Pistons legend Rasheed Wallace, maybe too much praise.

During a recent appearance on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, the Warriors veteran believes Wallace would be among the league’s best players if he were playing his prime right now — even ahead of guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“Rasheed Wallace probably could have been a top-five player in the league for a 10-year stretch,” Iguodala said. “He was shooting half-court shots left-handed and right-handed. If Rasheed Wallace played in modern-day basketball, if he played in our league today, he’d be a top-five player. He’d be better than Giannis, and I love Giannis.”

Pretty bold statement once we consider Wallace, he could shoot from everywhere like Giannis but I don’t necessarily think he could handle the ball compared to Antetokounmpo. Despite that, Wallace only averaged 14 points and six rebounds throughout his 16-year NBA career.

Wallace was named to four All-Star games and won one NBA Championship with the 2004 Pistons that shocked the world by beating the Kobe-and-Shaq Lakers. Giannis currently also has one title to his name, though you can make the case that he was way more important to the Bucks’ championship run.
